Borås Museum of Modern Art (Borås Konstmuseum) is one of the most important contemporary artmuseums outside Stockholm.

The museum has a significant collection of mainly Scandinavian art from the 20th and 21th century. In 2011 the museum will feature artists like Nathalia Edenmont, Gunvor Nelson, Jan Troell, Karin Broos, Hilma Af Klint and Adam Fuss to name a few.

The museum has a special assignment to collect, tend and show video art.

New video art is exhibited on permanent basis. There is also a gallery for young artists and workshops for children.

En utställning där konsten är ömsom het och flammande vild, ömsom intensivt djupborrande ned till smärtpunkten. Helvete handlar om det mörker som konsten ständigt återkommer till, från det romantiska 1800-talsmåleriet till vår egen svenska och internationella samtidskonst.
